Morocco Kasbahs And Desert: An 8-Day Journey Through Morocco

Experience the extraordinary diversity of Morocco on an 8-day journey connecting historic cities, dramatic mountains, ancient kasbahs and the vast landscapes of the Sahara Desert.

The Morocco Kasbahs & Desert tour is designed for travelers who want to experience the country's most iconic landscapes and cultural highlights without spending weeks on the road. Starting in Casablanca and finishing in Marrakech, the journey takes you from the Roman ruins of Volubilis and the medieval streets of Fès to the golden dunes of Merzouga and the spectacular kasbahs of southern Morocco.

Your adventure begins with a journey inland to Volubilis, where ancient Roman ruins provide a fascinating glimpse into Morocco's past. From there, continue to Fès, one of the country's most culturally significant cities. A guided exploration of the historic medina introduces you to traditional markets, artisan workshops, local flavors and centuries-old architecture.

Leaving Fès behind, the landscape gradually changes as you cross the Middle Atlas Mountains and head toward Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Arrive at the edge of the dunes and prepare for one of the highlights of the trip: a traditional camel ride through the golden sands at sunset. As darkness falls, enjoy a Moroccan dinner and an evening of traditional music and stories beneath the desert sky.

The following morning, wake early to watch the sunrise over the Sahara before continuing toward Todra Gorge. Towering rock walls, green palm oases and dramatic desert scenery make this one of southern Morocco's most memorable landscapes.

Your Morocco desert and kasbah adventure then continues along the famous Route of 1000 Kasbahs toward Ouarzazate and Aït Ben Haddou. Explore this remarkable fortified village, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, before crossing the High Atlas Mountains toward Marrakech.

The final day gives you time to discover Marrakech, from its atmospheric medina and traditional souks to the lively Djemaa el Fna square.

From Roman history and medieval cities to Sahara dunes and ancient kasbahs, this 8-day Morocco tour offers an immersive introduction to the landscapes, traditions and cultural heritage that make Morocco such a fascinating destination.
